ADVANTAGES and DISADVANTAGES
- Comes with a main unit, a stock, a barrel extension, light-beam target, flip up sight and a six dart clip.
- Can shoot about one dart every two seconds.
- Fall into the middle price range at $25-$40 dollars. However, I have seen it for as much as $50 at Target.
- Despite advertising that the barrel extension is for long-range missions, it actually decreases the range from 35 feet to 25-30 feet.
- The flip-up sight is more accurate than the scope that comes with an Element or Longshot, as it lines up with the sight at the end of the blaster to compensate for trajectory.
- The light-beam requires 2 AA batteries, and is similar in accuracy to the Nite Finder's built in light-beam
- The Recon houses 3 tactical rails; one on the top and the bottom of the barrel extension and one on the top of the main unit
- Can hold an extra clip in the stock, and can also just about hold the Alpha Trooper's 18 dart drum
- Is compatible with all other Nerf clips and drums
- Can only fire streamline (clip system) darts
- The spring can wear out if left cocked for too long
- Uses a reverse plunger system, meaning it has less power than a Longshot or Stampede.
- Can rip or tear bullets inside the gun
