Nerf Maverick Update

In June this year I bought my first Nerf gun, the Maverick REV-6. And seven months on, it has been officially retired to the trophy cabinet, with a chilling warning. Almost...

A month ago, everything started going wrong. I noticed that in June my Mav was shooting a good 35 feet, but was now struggling to reach 25 feet. Now the range sits around the 15 to 20 feet mark.

The darts hit with about the same amount of force as a pillow. Sometimes, they fail to leave the barrel at all, or only come out partly, meaning you have to push them back in before resuming.

After reloading, when you've pushed the barrel back into place, it doesn't click back in. It just spins around for 20 seconds; 20 seconds in which you can't fire a bullet.

In conclusion, if you use a Maverick alot, it will wear out fast.

So, taking its place as my primary in Nerf wars will be my clear Maverick, which can still fire 35 feet, but the bullet arcs of to the right when using streamlines.

My classic Maverick is set to be replaced by a Sonic Maverick, that I'm hoping to find cheap in the post Christmas sales.

And so will continue my quest to find the best way to dual wield Mavericks.
